Out in the hot tub last night about 9:30pm I was blown away by a star low on the SE horizon, very bright, and changing colours rapidly. Red, blue, white, looked totally artificial. Looked it up today and that was Sirius. Apparently it twinkles a lot in winter on account of it being very low in the sky (more atmosphere) and being very bright. Quite pretty!
